The Authentic Garden

I wanted this garden to reflect the soul and spirit of Haute Provence, a skilful blend of nature and human intervention, where the two respect and balance each other, without one triumphantly dominating the other.
The human hand must remain present, yes, but not too much!
Let nature retain its rights, yes, but not too much either.
An apparent disorder, a cleverly organised jumble that spreads its waves

This is no ordinary garden.
If it is extraordinary, it’s for several reasons:
Between nature and garden, a desire to leave room for insects, birds and all those who represent life on earth.
A sort of permaculture before its time, which I was doing without knowing it.
Didactif as much as productive.
Everything you find in the garden ends up on the table at La Bonne Etape or Bistro Gaby.
If that’s not enough to serve everyone, it’s enough to share some of our happiness with you.

We hope you’ll have as much fun walking around here as we have preparing it for you all year round.
You can visit this organic cultivation area, a cross between nature and garden, with flowers, fruit and vegetables, where pollinating insects need uncut grasses to live, and to feed the birds that delight us with their melodious songs.

It’s a moment of guided nature where picking is a culture.
